We were thrilled to support Kitemania Dahab V1, the first edition of one of the biggest kitesurfing competitions in Egypt. As a proud partner of this Dahab kitesurfing competition, The Kite Bubble rewarded the winners with IKO instructor courses.

Why Dahab?

Dahab sits on the Gulf of Aqaba, where the wind blows down through the Gulf. As a result, Dahab is usually very windy, which makes it a perfect playground for kitesurfing competitions. Kitemania Dahab took place at Baby Bay, where the wind blows almost entirely onshore. That brings the action close to the beach, so spectators had a fantastic view of every jump.

Dahab offers a variety of kite spots for intermediate and advanced riders. You can choose between shallow, flat water lagoons and deep water lagoons. In addition, some remote lagoons are only reachable on foot or by camel. Many riders call Dahab one of their favorite kitesurfing destinations in the world.

Welcome to The Kite Bubble, an IKO certified kitesurfing school in Nabq Bay, Sharm El Sheikh. Here’s a little about The Kite Bubble: who we are, how we started, and what we offer.

Our story

We’ve been teaching kitesurfing in Egypt since 2007, riding and teaching at spots all over the country. Over the years, we gained the experience to build more than a business. We wanted a place to share our love for kitesurfing with riders from all over the world. That place became The Kite Bubble, the only IKO/CDWS certified kitesurfing school in Nabq Bay.

What we offer

Our skilled IKO certified instructors offer kitesurfing lessons and courses for every level, including courses for children. In addition, we offer equipment rental, storage and beach use packages. Our equipment comes from leading manufacturers and is chosen to suit our local conditions. After all, the right gear makes all the difference, whether you’re learning or riding at an advanced level.

Kitesurfing all year round

On average, more than 70% of days each year are good for kiting. The weather is warm, and the wind blows side-onshore. Our lagoon has flat water with a soft, sandy bottom, which suits kiters of all levels. Read more about our kitesurfing spot in Sharm El Sheikh.

Kiting at any tide

There’s a high and a low tide every 12 hours, with up to 80 cm difference in water depth. Even so, our lagoon keeps good depth at low tide. Thanks to thousands of square meters of sandy, flat water, there’s always somewhere with a safe depth. As a result, you can enjoy a session at any time of day.

What is the IKO?

Certified instructors only

Our school works exclusively with IKO certified instructors and assistants, all with valid certifications. As a result, every lesson follows the IKO’s rigorous standards for quality and safety. Read more about why IKO certified instructors matter.

Your own IKO certification

At the end of your lessons, you’ll be certified at your level and get access to your IKO card online. This helps you understand your level, your limits and your potential. In addition, your certification is recognized at IKO centers worldwide. That makes it easier to continue learning or ride independently wherever you travel.

Professional training courses

Our IKO membership also allows us to run professional courses at our school. That means we can train experienced kiteboarders to become IKO certified instructors themselves. Learn more about our IKO instructor course.
