We were thrilled to support Kitemania Dahab V1, the first edition of one of the biggest kitesurfing competitions in Egypt. As a proud partner of this Dahab kitesurfing competition, The Kite Bubble rewarded the winners with IKO instructor courses.
Why Dahab?
Dahab sits on the Gulf of Aqaba, where the wind blows down through the Gulf. As a result, Dahab is usually very windy, which makes it a perfect playground for kitesurfing competitions. Kitemania Dahab took place at Baby Bay, where the wind blows almost entirely onshore. That brings the action close to the beach, so spectators had a fantastic view of every jump.
Kitesurfing around Dahab
Dahab offers a variety of kite spots for intermediate and advanced riders. You can choose between shallow, flat water lagoons and deep water lagoons. In addition, some remote lagoons are only reachable on foot or by camel. Many riders call Dahab one of their favorite kitesurfing destinations in the world.
